Two recognized at McCarthy Institute

Dr. Jay Arthur received the Dean F. Berkley Emerging Leadership Award while Dr. Sandi Cole received the Outstanding Leadership and Contribution to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Award.

Two awards from the Indiana University School Administrators Association were given out at this year’s Martha McCarthy Law and Policy Institute.

Dr. Jay Arthur received the Dean F. Berkley Emerging Leadership Award. Arthur is the Director of Special Services and Student Services for Carmel Clay Schools. He attended the School of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to become a licensed Special ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Director and completed his doctorate in ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøal Leadership and Curriculum Studies, culminating in a Superintendent License.

Dr. Sandi Cole received the Outstanding Leadership and Contribution to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Award. Cole is the Director of the Center on ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Lifelong Learning at the Indiana Institute on Disability and Community at IU. Prior to joining the university, Dr. Cole spent 22 years as a public-school teacher and administrator at both the elementary and secondary levels. She has directed the Special ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Leadership program in the Indiana University School of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø for the past 10 years.
