A new program at the IU School of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø will provide students with an opportunity to earn a bachelor’s and master’s degree in five years, setting themselves up for a bright future in education.

Undergraduates in the Counseling and Student Services program (CASS) are eligible for the Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP) in Higher ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Student Affairs. After graduating with their B.S.Ed. in CASS, they can complete their M.S.Ed. in Higher ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Student Affairs in one calendar year, an option that saves money and time. Students also participate in an internship, gaining valuable practical experience in the process.

“The CASS program prepares students for success in the Higher ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Student Affairs program at IU, which is one of the top-ranked programs in the country,” said Patrick McKamy, Director of Persistence and Student Experience. “Any CASS student completing this AMP will be prepared as a leader in Higher ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Student Affairs and marketable to work across all types of U.S. institutions of higher education.”

“We are excited that this program provides undergraduate students the opportunity to make the decision to engage in graduate preparation prior to graduation,” said Danielle DeSawal, Clinical Professor and Master's Program Coordinator. “This AMP offers students a pathway to immediately begin a career in higher education."
