Lester selected for Big Ten Academic Alliance leadership program

Professor Jessica Lester has been selected for the Academic Leadership Program, which develops the leadership skills of professors who may pursue careers in academic administration.

The Academic Leadership Program is a prestigious professional development initiative that prepares faculty leaders to navigate and excel in academic administration, with a network of more than 2,400 alumni including many university presidents, provosts, and deans.

“Leadership can take many forms, from supporting a colleague through a tough decision to shaping the future of a school or campus,” said Carrie Docherty, vice provost for faculty and academic affairs. “These programs provide our faculty with space to grow as leaders and collaborators. I’m grateful to work alongside those selected for the Big Ten Leadership Institute cohorts and look forward to the ways they will share their talents with IU.”
