Nineteen children at Fairview Elementary School in Bloomington received new books and other educational activities thanks to a book drive organized by the IU School of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø’s Staff Council.
Inspired by the late Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Staff Council provided each child in two preschool classrooms at Fairview with three books to take home. An anonymous benefactor purchased sticker books and goodie bags for each student, along with two books and a floor puzzle donated to each classroom.
Fairview’s principal, Kelsey Pearson, is an IU School of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø alumna.
Two more rounds of the book drive are planned throughout the rest of the school year, and anyone wishing to donate can purchase books through the council’s . Staff Council would like to thank everyone who has contributed so far.
